The necklaces are handcrafted by Annie Rose Sisson, a relief captain aboard WHOI's coastal research vessel, R/V Tioga, and a scientific diver at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Annie is proud to be the first woman to serve as a full-time captain at WHOI. When she's not supporting oceanographic research at sea, she channels her passion for the marine environment into metalsmithing, creating jewelry inspired by waves, marine life, and the intricate details of the natural world.
