Inspired by the beauty of the ocean, these beautiful sterling silver Seashell earrings are handcrafted by Irina Rypina, a physical oceanographer and Senior Scientist in WHOI's Physical Oceanography Department.

Irina's research focuses on ocean circulation and the transport of water masses, temperature, salinity, marine life, pollutants, and other tracers carried by ocean currents. Beyond her scientific work, she expresses her love of the ocean through jewelry-making, creating pieces that capture the grace and simplicity of the natural world.

These earrings, made from sterling silver with secure leverback ear wires, celebrate the unique intersection of ocean science and artistry at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
